WHere is a simplified version of a drink featured on a new drinks list. Designed as a large-volume pre-mixed that's bursting full of flavours associated with festive period, rendering it excellent for hosting a holiday party. Any leftover cordial for brunch beverages, puddings, or for another batch of bikinis.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 guests
To make the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Cocktail (produces 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
Making the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed items into a saucepan, bring to a light boil, stirring so the sugar melts. After that, turn off the stove allowing it to cool down completely. Decant into a sterilised bottle, seal and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it can be stored for around four weeks.
For the Premix: Pour the specified liquid ingredients into one big jug, leave to sit for one hour, then pass it through , ideally through muslin, to ensure it's completely strained.
To serve: Measure 85ml of your batch mix to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and stir lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Pour into an chilled martini glass or similar, garnish with the cranberries adding the final touch with a quick spritz with the mandarin essence above the glass.
